Judo literally translates as "the gentle way". It is a martial that was founded in 1882 by Dr. Jigoro Kano who formulated Judo from the styles of Jujitsu that he had studied. Judo is more than simply a sporting martial art; rather, it is a complete martial art that adapted over the years from various fighting styles and techniques.
